Johnson State College has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving — it’s Dec. 1 this year — and is kicking off a $200,000 fund drive.
The #GivingTuesday is held on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, as well as after Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping, to kick off the holiday giving season and inspire people to give to charities and causes.
“We are excited to use this global day of giving to launch our new ‘Badger for a Lifetime’ Campaign, which will run from Giving Tuesday 2015 through Giving Tuesday 2016,” said Lauren Philie, Johnson State’s director of development and alumni relations. “The goal of the campaign is to raise $200,000 for JSC’s annual fund.”
Johnson State is asking alumni, friends, parents, faculty and staff to help make a difference students’ educational lives.
People can join Johnson State’s #GivingTuesday initiative at can visit jsc.edu/giving-tuesday, which will be open for participation on Dec. 1.
