Howard Manosh was honored as Supporter of the Year and Kathy Beery was honored for 30 years of service at the annual meeting of the Lamoille Family Center, held last week.
The center, which is entering its 40th year, took the occasion as an opportunity to thank to staff members, board members, donors, patrons, community partners and participants for helping the organization to produce results for children and families.
State Sen. Jane Kitchel, a Democrat from Danville, was the guest speaker, reflecting on her experience and unique perspective on supporting children and families in Vermont. She supports an emphasis on multigenerational approaches, like the Family Center programs that address social determinants of health. Kitchel was the state’s commissioner of social welfare and secretary of the Agency of Human Services before being elected to the Vermont Senate in 2004.
Manosh, a prominent businessman in Lamoille County, was honored for his longtime and ongoing support of the family center.
Beery is now the family center’s children’s integrated services developmental educator. She was honored at the annual meeting for devoting 30 years to the organization and for her dedication to Lamoille Valley children and families.
