The 31st annual International Boutique is open through Saturday, Dec 13, at the Masonic Lodge on Route 100 in Waitsfield village.
This year, the boutique features carpets — Tibetan, Kashmiri and Persian thick pile carpets, plus Berber Kilim rugs (3x5 to 9x12 in size).
Also being sold are silver jewelry, handbags, bamboo bowls, wool pillows, block-print cotton tablecloths, placemats and napkins, silk bedspreads, Tibetan singing bowls, pashmina shawls, unusual toys, clothes, cashmere, alpaca and yak wool scarves and blankets, handicrafts and unique stocking stuffers and from all over the world.
The boutique is a benefit for Amurtel, an international volunteer organization that works to improve the quality of life for people experiencing chronic poverty or acute stress from environmental, financial, or political distress.
The International Boutique is open 10 to 6 weekdays and 10 to 4 on Saturday. Information or directions: 496-5500 or internationalboutique.org.
