Ken Libby of William Raveis Stowe Realty has been installed as the Vermont Realtors 2016 president.
The Vermont Association of Realtors held its annual awards and installation ceremonies Oct. 7 in Burlington. Libby was sworn in by Ronald Phipps of Rhode Island, who was president of the National Association of Realtors in 2011.
As president, Libby will set the direction for the Vermont association’s 1,650 members and will serve on the New England Realtor Committee. Libby was also elected Vermont president in 2003 and most recently had been vice president.
Libby was selected as Vermont’s Realtor of the Year in 2003 and 2012, and was Vermont’s representative to the national association from 2008 to 2014. He has also been a member of the national executive committee and board of directors. He’s the only Vermont member of the National Association of Realtors Political Action Committee Hall of Fame.
Libby is also active with the Green Mountain Council of the Boy Scouts of America; he was the council president in 2013 and 2014 and is now vice president of development.
Through its affiliation with William Raveis, Stowe Realty is part of a network of more than 100 offices and 3,500 sales associates throughout the Northeast.
