Longtime Stoweflake Resort and Spa general manager Sheri Baraw Smith has joined the Green Mountain Inn in the same role.
In addition to 30 years as the general manager of the family owned Stoweflake, she worked as a task-force general manager at The Glen House in New Hampshire, and as a business consultant at Basin Harbor Club.
She has long been affiliated with the Stowe Area Association, Vermont Lodging Association and American Hotel & Lodging Association.
“Sheri’s extensive background in hospitality will be invaluable as we strive to meet and exceed our guests’ expectations,” Ken Biedermann, president of Ampersand Properties, which owns the Green Mountain Inn, said.
“This is an exciting time to be in hospitality, with continued growth in tourism and ongoing technological advancements that will enhance all aspects of the inn’s operations,” Baraw said.
The historic Green Mountain Inn has been open to guests since 1833.
