Leadership Lamoille, designed by the Lamoille Region Chamber of Commerce, is an effort to help prospective leaders in the community to develop their potential. The program uses hands-on experience, project development and networking. The 2014 class is the fourth to graduate.
In ceremonies at the Stearns Hall Performing Arts Center at Johnson State College, the graduates presented two projects they had worked on. One was titled “Lamoille County Employee Satisfaction Outcomes and Recruitment/Retention Recom-mendations. The other was titled “Housing Opportunities Made Equal … Connecting Landlords, Tenants and Communities Every Step of the Way.”
Leadership Lamoille begins in September and concludes in June. Students meet monthly for briefings, tours, seminars and hands-on learning and meet more often informally with their own smaller groups to work on a project.
Applications for the 2014-15 Leadership Lamoille program are available by contacting the chamber of commerce at 802-888-7607; or Chelsea@lamoillechamber.com.
