Stowe Free Library and Helen Day Art Center

The Young Writers Project, a Vermont organization that encourages and enables young people to write and get published, will be holding a special workshop for aspiring writers age 12 to 15 and in seventh to ninth grades, on June 16, 17 and 18, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. each day at the Stowe Free Library. The subject of the workshop will be on “nature writing” and include an examination of published nature stories, fiction and nonfiction, some outdoor exploration and journal writing.

Participants can join the YWP website and post their writings, receive and give respectful feedback, read tips on writing, engage in online workshops, respond to prompts, and discuss books, news and life.
