The Green Mountain Club’s 18th annual Winter Trails Festival will take place Saturday, Feb. 1, beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the visitor center on Route 100 in Waterbury Center, a perfect opportunity to experience Vermont’s trails in winter. Dress warmly for the weather and outdoor activities.

There will be equipment and dog sledding demonstrations, guided adventures, educational workshops, nature walks, outdoor gear displays and food. Children will enjoy snowflake making, face painting and a story walk and scavenger hunt. From 3 to 5 p.m. there will be an indoor party featuring food and live Celtic music with Dave Day and Friends.
