The Vermont Philharmonic will celebrate Vermont musical talent in a pair of concerts entitled “Stars of Winter,” featuring a gifted young pianist and a celebrated trio. The shows are on Saturday, Feb. 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the Elley-Long Music Center at St. Michael’s College and Sunday, Feb. 12, at 2 p.m. at the Barre Opera House, with conductor and music director Lou Kosma.

Laura Zhou-Hackett, who won the 2023 Jon Borowicz Memorial Scholarship Competition, will perform the lyrical Andante from Felix Mendelssohn Piano Concerto in G minor, op.25.
