Vt. Day program at Expo to feature local talent
The program of events for Vermont Day at Expo 67 has been completed, according to an announcement by Elbert G. Moulton, Vermont Development Commissioner.
“Now that we have finalized arrangements with members of the Trapp Family to present a program of international songs at Expo 67’s Place des Nations on May 31, our Vermont Day schedule is complete. We feel we have come up with a day that Vermonters can be proud of and one that will show Vermont at its finest before the world,” he added.
The Baroness Maria Von Trapp, Werner and Erica Von Trapp, Maria Hedwig and Johannes will present their program of song as part of “An Evening with Maria” … The program will include a company of 40 performers from the Stowe Playhouse singing selections from “The Sound of Music,” [directed by] Matt Pykosz.
