The foliage put on quite the show for us this year. The town was flooded with peepers and the roads, well, they were busy to say the least. It was all wonderful.
Now things are slowing down for a bit before the snow flies, but nothing is slowing down at Stowe Community Church.
We are a community of believers who may have a few different beliefs but are still a family of faith. Everyone is welcome here regardless of who they are, how they believe or the pronoun that describes them.
Our Sunday service is at 9:30 a.m. During this time, you will be greeted by the smiling faces of members who are glad to see you. You will hear our amazing choir, receive an inspirational message from Pastor Dan Haugh and meet some lovely folks. Here are some upcoming things to remember:
• A new member orientation will be held on Oct. 22 following the morning service.
• “A Charlie Brown Christmas” will be performed on Dec. 1-2 at 7 p.m.
• Lamoille Community Food Share is always in need of non-perishable products to help those in our community who are having a tough time providing for their families. Please help by buying extra when shopping. These can be left at the church or the store where purchased.
If you are in need in any way, there are those at the church who are willing to help. Just call the office. Our prayer team is always ready to help in that way too.
Remember that a simple smile is free but can change someone’s day in a big way. Keep giving them away.
See you Sunday. Until then be kind.
