Grace Safford, a junior at Peoples Academy in Morrisville, has received honorable mention for “If Only They Knew,” a science fiction/fantasy piece, and for the poem, “The Playground, Run Fox Run,” at the Vermont 2015 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards competition.
Her flash fiction submission, “The Place,” earned a Gold Key (American Voices Nominee). In addition, “The Place” was a national Silver Medal winner. She has been invited to attend a June ceremony at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
