Autumn Rae Fahey, 31, of Craftsbury Common, died Saturday, March 15, after a courageous fight with cancer.

Autumn Rae Fahey, 31, of Craftsbury Common, died Saturday, March 15, after a courageous fight with cancer. She was born in Morrisville, the daughter of Kevin and Kate (Labosky) Fahey. Autumn attended Morrisville schools and was a standout soccer player for Peoples Academy. She attended the Governor’s Institute for the Arts and went on to graduate from Lyndon State College, also playing soccer on three conference champion teams.

Autumn was a National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS) alumna and grew up snowboarding on Mount Mansfield in Stowe and having fun on adventures with her many friends and family.

As an artist, she created colorful abstract paintings full of dynamic movements and was invited by galleries to show her work. Autumn worked as art director for Euro Designs in Stowe.

She was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be remembered as a beautiful, cheerful, compassionate soul.

Autumn is survived by her parents, Kevin and Kate Fahey of Morrisville; her fiancé, David Riendeau of Craftsbury, and “Huck,” her loyal dog; grandparents, Lee and Marilyn Labosky of Milan, Pa., and Patricia and the late Philip J. Fahey of Owego, N.Y.; and many relatives.

There will be a graveside ceremony for Autumn in the spring. The date and time with cemetery information will be posted on Kevin Fahey’s Facebook page. Contributions in Autumn’s memory can be made to River Arts, PO Box 829, Morrisville, VT 05661.
