Director Tom Fondakowski and executive chef Paul Bento of Johnson State College Dining Services were presented with the Workforce Development Leader of the Year Award from Creative Workforce Solutions at the Lamoille Region Chamber of Commerce annual meeting held on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at Johnson State College.
In presenting the award, DJ Masi, business account manager of CWS, said, “Tom and Paul have provided skilled, consistent support and training to enhance skills and bring existing employees to a new level of ability, meeting their standards of service and quality. In addition, they have partnered with CWS Lamoille employment team members and programs to consider additional candidates for training and employment. Finally, Tom and Paul have allowed candidates to try out a range of duties to understand the best possible job match for each individual. We look forward to continued collaboration and partnership with JSC Dining Services in 2014.”
