On Saturday, May 24, the historic Auto Toll Road at Mount Mansfield opens to cars and hikers. Bicycles and motorcycles are not permitted on the unpaved, 4.5-mile road. There is a fee of $19 for a car and driver, plus $6 for additional passengers (kids under 5 are free). Hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily until mid-October.
