Submissions and Deadlines

Want to get your news in our papers? We publish each week on Thursday. (All submissions are edited for style and length. Earlier deadlines may arise with holidays; please call to confirm.)

For the The Other Paper, letters to the editor, press releases, sports and business news are due the Monday before publication at noon; for the Stowe Reporter/News & Citizen/Shelburne News/The Citizen, please send materials by Monday at 5 p.m. Community notes/news items for all publications are due the Friday before publication at 5 p.m. Church submissions are due Monday by 5 p.m. Obituaries have a flexible deadline; please call if submitting after Monday. Inclusion in multiple papers will be done as space allows. If sending photos, send the largest file possible — 1 MB or larger.

Subscription Services

For The Other Paper, Shelburne News or The Citizen, these newspapers are free and delivered to households in South Burlington, Shelburne and Charlotte/Hinesburg, respectively. If you live outside of the postal service of one of these publications and would like to subscribe to the publication each week, a member of our staff can take down your information and review pricing ($30/quarter and $120/year for first-class mail). We can also help you with a change of address and to renew a subscription. Please call 802-253-2101.
