BOYS BASKETBALL

Rice 62, Champlain Valley 57: The Champlain Valley’s boys basketball team’s losing skid ran to three games with a 62-57 loss to Rice on Monday, Feb. 10.

Tyler Morehouse had 21 points to lead the Redhawks (12-4), while Baker Angstman added 12 points.

Rice came back from a 4-point deficit in the fourth quarter, outscoring CVU 22-13 in the final frame to pull out the win.

Michel Ndayishimiye led the Green Knights (15-1) with 19 points.

BOYS HOCKEY

Middlebury 3, Champlain Valley 0: The Champlain Valley boys hockey team was shutout for the fourth time this season in a 3-0 loss to Middlebury on Monday, Feb. 10.

Jason Douglas made 30 saves in goal for the Redhawks, who fall to 2-12-2.

Devon Kearns had a goal and an assist for the 9-6 Tigers.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Missisquoi 5, Champlain Valley 1: The Champlain Valley girls hockey team dropped to .500 with a loss to Missisquoi on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 8.

Kayleigh Bushweller had the goal for the Redhawks, who move to 8-8. Grace Ferguson took the loss in net.

Brianna Parent tallied twice for the Thunderbirds (8-5-1) and Madison Conley stopped 15 shots.
