A total of 35 teams from the towns of Shelburne, Charlotte, and Hinesburg competed for fun at the Newberry Cup Soccer Tournament Saturday, Oct. 11 in Shelburne. Instead of focusing on wins and losses, the young soccer players showed team spirit and enthusiasm through cheers, crazy hair, matching socks, and face paint. The goal of the tournament is that everyone who participates returns home with a smile and a medal.
