This letter is in support of Kate Lalley for the open selectboard seat.
Kate has had a significant presence on the Shelburne Planning Commission for many years, of which I’ve had the pleasure of working with her for about the last four. In this role, I’ve seen Kate provide a strong voice for building sense of place in Shelburne by ensuring regulatory updates including effective consideration for balancing future outcomes across a spectrum of issues. Her insights around connectivity, stormwater management, housing, economic development and policy design have greatly benefitted the evolution of form-based zoning as the town navigates how to grow intelligently. These insights also played a major role in the development and delivery of the recently updated Town Plan which presents a framework for the foreseeable future.
Kate’s professional planning background combined with extensive volunteer work in Shelburne enable her to instantly and meaningfully contribute to selectboard discussions as we move forward as a community.
Either through early voting or on March 3, please consider supporting Kate Lalley for selectboard.

Chair, Shelburne Planning Commission
