Oct. 3 has been designated as National Manufacturing Day by the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association International. Vermont Governor Shumlin has taken it one step further and declared October as Manufacturing “Month” in Vermont. The purpose of the designations are to generate more interest in the manufacturing segment of the economy and to draw attention to high-skill jobs in the manufacturing arena.
As members of Vermont Manufacturing Extension Center (VMEC) and of the local community, Twincraft Skincare is inviting area citizens to tour the manufacturing facility in Winooski.
A contract manufacturer of specialty soap and skincare products, Twincraft customers include well-known names like Avon (its first and continuous customer since its founding in 1971), Mary Kay, Estee Lauder, Bliss, and more. And what’s even more interesting is that Twincraft makes 100 percent of its products in Vermont, and there are over 550 products.
Twincraft welcomes its neighbors to visit and tour the manufacturing facility on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 9am and Wednesday, Oct. 8 at 3pm. To register for a tour, please visit www.mfgday.com and click “Attend an Event.”
