The Howard Center recently appointed Shelburne residents Cyndee Cochrane Sturtevant and Meg O’Donnell as board members for a one-year term. O’Donnell will serve as vice president and Cochrane Sturtevant as secretary.

Having earned an MBA, Cochrane Sturtevant worked as an auditor and accountant for a Burlington accounting firm, as an instructor of business courses at Community College of Vermont, as a business/human resource manager for Salzburg Seminar and as a high school German teacher.

Cochrane Sturtevant also serves on the Lund Board of Directors as treasurer, chairs the finance committee and the investment committee. She is also a on the board of directors of the Vermont Foundation for Children and Families.

An attorney by profession, O’Donnell’s career focused on health care law and policy, and included working for state regulatory agencies as well as the University of Vermont Medical Center, where she was director of government and community relations until her retirement in early 2018.

With extensive experience teaching health policy, O’Donnell has served on a number of boards including the Vermont Board of Bar Examiners, the Community Health Centers of Burlington and New England Federal Credit Union.
