Learn how economic development, consumer spending, and travel behavior are impacted by new walking and biking infrastructure at a presentation by Dr. Kelly Clifton on Nov. 4 from 4- 5:30pm in the Sugar Maple Ballroom at the Davis Center in Burlington.
Clifton will present recent research conducted in Portland, Ore. that connects policies and decisions concerning land use and sustainable transportation to local businesses and the economy.
Her expertise on analyzing human behavior and developing tools to support planning and policy decisions is extremely relevant to Vermont because of the state’s limited resources and increasing needs to strategically support the state and local economies.
Clifton’s presentation is part of the Dan and Carole Burack President’s Distinguished Lecture Series. For more information call (802) 656-1233 or visit www.uvm.edu/trc/.
