Both Shelburne Community School articles presented in Shelburne’s special meeting passed. Thirty-five percent of registered voters voted. The school roof replacement $2.39 million bond passed with more than 80 percent of voters in favor of the project. Window replacement and D and E Wing renovations, for $6.86 million, passed with 65 percent in favor.
Bonds for sewer improvements and the Bay Road Bridge were also decided. A $3 million bond requested by the town’s Wastewater Department to cover system and facility upgrades passed by a vote of 1,205 to 583.
Unlike the other three items on the ballot, the declining Bay Road Bridge’s $3 million bond for repair and improvement failed. The vote was a narrow margin: 925 to 858.
