Trinity Church youth group members pose with their Can-struction creation.

Trinity Church celebrated another Super Bowl Sunday with Soup-er Sunday on Feb. 1. Before the Patriots and Seahawks kicked off, the youth group challenged a team of adults to a Can-struction building contest as in years past. A volunteer panel judged the teams on the most interesting, durable, tall, and nutritionally-balanced creation made from canned goods. The Noah’s Ark theme inspired creative building by both the youth and adult teams. Although the competition was close, the youth team was deemed the winner and various prizes were awarded. Everyone joined in the fun as participants, judges, and audience members cheered on the teams during the event. Organized by the youth group, members of the parish were encouraged to bring in canned goods over the past few weeks, all of which were donated to the Shelburne Food Shelf.
