This month Vermont Community Access Media’s (VCAM) popular producer and talk show host Kay Ryder is focused on Shelburne, her home for over 45 years. Ryder, the host of “Conversations with Kay,” interviewed Charlotte Shelburne Rotary Club President Dave Jonah and Rotarian Dr. Sam Fietelberg about the Hands to Honduras Tela Program. A partnership bringing together North American and Honduran communities to provide educational, technical, cultural, and humanitarian assistance to the Atlántida coastal region, Hands to Honduras is a pet project of the town’s Rotary club. Ryder’s 30-minute conversation with Jonah and Fietelberg will be broadcast on VCAM Channel 15 Monday and Thursday, Aug. 11 and Aug. 14 at 8pm, Friday, Aug. 15 at 5pm, and Saturday, Aug. 16 at 5:30pm.
Later in the month Ryder’s conversation with Shelburne State Representatives Joan Lenes and Kate Webb will be broadcast Monday and Thursday Aug. 25 and Aug. 28 at 8pm, Friday, Aug. 29 at 5pm, and at 5:30pm on Saturday, Aug. 30.
Well known for her preparation, informed curiosity, and interesting insights, Ryder was awarded VCAM Director’s Award in recognition of her many years of public access and nonprofit work in 2006. Prior to “Conversations with Kay,” Ryder was the host of VNA Presents for 10 years. For more information visit www.vcam.org.
