Bark For Life, an event hosted by the American Cancer Society, will bring dog owners and their pets together in the fight against cancer on Aug. 1. This non-competitive, 1.5-mile walkathon will raise vital funds for the American Cancer Society while celebrating the special bond between people and their dogs.
Bark For Life of Chittenden County will take place at Technology Park, South Burlington. Registration will start at 5pm. In addition to the scenic walk, the event will feature a variety of fun activities for dogs and owners alike, such as a training demonstration, an owner/dog look-a-like contest, and a dog trick contest. There will also be prizes for the top fundraising dogs.
Both teams and individual walkers are welcome. Advance registration is $10 per person/dog with the commitment to raise additional funds for the lifesaving mission of the American Cancer Society.
To sign up for Bark For Life, or for more information, call the Tara Genzlinger at the American Cancer Society at 872-6309, email tara.genzlinger@cancer.org or visit RelayForLife.org/barkchittenden.
All donations fund the lifesaving mission of the American Cancer Society: to help you stay well, help you get well, to find cures, and to fight back.
