Along with Beetlejuice, Alice in Wonderland, Austin Powers, Capt Jack Sparrow, and many more.

Vermont Children’s Theatre on Ice (VCTI) will host the Northeast Theatre on Ice Festival Saturday April 12, 2014 at Leddy Park Arena in Burlington. This year’s festival is the largest in its six year history featuring 7 divisions, 14 teams and over 250 skaters from five states including the gold medal teams from the 2013 National Theatre on Ice Championships.

The Freeskate events begin at 5:30 pm and will showcase each team’s long program that combines music, theatrical backdrops, and figure skating. Our local adult team, On Thin Ice as well as VCTI and the Burlington Parks and Recreation exhibition team, Sk8 Across the Stage will be performing before a panel of US Figure Skating judges from near and far. This year judges include Judy Edmonds, National Vice-chair for Theatrical Skating, and Kathy Slack, fresh off the Olympic ice as Team Manager for Singles and Pairs in Sochi.

The admission price for this evening of figure skating fun is $ 5.00 per person at the door. Proceeds will help VCTI defray costs for traveling to Detroit this summer for the 2014 National Theatre on Ice Championship.
