Thank you, Peter Taylor

To the Editor:

Heartiest thanks to Peter Taylor, retiring after 34 years on the South Burlington Board of Civil Authority. Peter has been a stalwart at our polls throughout our many elections (he can probably number them). He served 22 years as a highly diligent, judicious chair of the board.

His wife, Marta, is equally well-known for her service to the city through her work on the library board. Thank you both for granting each other the time and support to serve South Burlington so long and well.

Thankfully, Peter and Marta are not high-tailing it out of here to Florida. Peter will, no doubt, be present on March 2 at the middle school in a more reduced role, and Marta will be volunteering as well since our pandemic needs continue for election coverage.

He will merely have more time to indulge his passions and other volunteer commitments such as to ski patrol and climbing mountains in better weather. South Burlington has been strengthened by you both and will still be calling on you for your knowledge and wisdom.
