BlackRock Construction and Adam Hergenrother Companies wear pink

BlackRock Construction and Adam Hergenrother Companies wear pink to raise awareness — and money — in support of the American Cancer Society.

Workers at BlackRock Construction and parent Adam Hergenrother Companies in South Burlington are joining the American Cancer Society in the “Real Men Wear Pink” Vermont campaign this month.

This initiative provides an opportunity for male-identifying people to fight against breast cancer, raising money and awareness about the disease to support the American Cancer Society’s research, patient service and education efforts.

To kick things off on Sept. 3, BlackRock sponsored a Cones for a Cause, in which 200 free Sisters of Anarchy ice cream cones were given out to community members. The construction company donated $25 for each cone eaten.

About $5,295 has been raised by Hergenrother and BlackRock for the campaign. Donations can be made at http://bit.ly/Donate_RMWPVT.
