Spooky season is in full swing in South Burlington, with plenty planned for kids for the coming weekend.
On Friday, families and kids are invited to join the city’s Community Pumpkin Carving event from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Senior Center in City Hall. Bring your own pumpkins, and the recreation staff will have all the tools you’ll need.
“Families can come in, carve out their pumpkins and leave the mess with us, not have to make that mess at home,” said Travis Ladd with the city’s recreation and parks team.
On Saturday, the Community Glow Walk returns for its fourth year. Four hundred glow necklaces will be available for kids at the stormwater pond on Market Street. Kids in their costumes and check out Halloween lights and big inflatables and get candy — and win some prizes — courtesy of the city.
No events are planned for the night of Halloween, but spooky decorations are aplenty in many South Burlington neighborhoods including East Terrace, the Chamberlain neighborhood, and others.
