Ethan Allen Homestead Museum hosts a talk by historian Robert Grandchamp, “Combined Arms in the Civil War: How Union Artillery and Infantry won the Civil War,” on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 2 p.m.

Grandchamp will focus on how Rhode Island artillery and Vermont infantry developed a close working relationship and ensured Union victory in the Civil War. He is the award-winning author of 15 books on American military history.

He earned his Master in American History from Rhode Island College. A senior analyst with the U.S. government, he lives in Jericho Center with his wife Elizabeth and their three children.

The Homestead monthly lecture program is free, though donations are accepted at the door.
