A woman died in Hardwick on May 9 in a fire at her home on Brush Street.
Elsa Mulholland, 73, was found dead in her home after it was destroyed in the fire, the Caledonian Record first reported.
According to a press release from the Hardwick Police Department, they responded to the fire at around 7:30 p.m. that Tuesday evening along with the Hardwick Fire Department and rescue squad.
Greensboro and Woodbury fire departments provided mutual aid.
When the emergency crews arrived, the home was already fully involved.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated, but police said the fire did not appear to be suspicious.
