Morristown Fire Department calls for December: 15
Dec. 3 at 3:43 p.m., firefighters directed traffic while a crash at the intersection of Route 15 and Houle Avenue was cleaned up.
Dec. 4 at 10:55 a.m., false alarm on Washington Highway.
Dec. 5 at 6:02 a.m., firefighters were toned out for a call on Cote Hill Road, but the call was canceled soon after.
Dec. 6 at 9:39 a.m., assisted Morristown Emergency Medical Services on Mansfield Avenue.
Dec. 11 at 10:57 a.m., no one was injured in a crash at the intersection of Route 100 and Meadow Drive; firefighters helped direct traffic while it was cleared.
Dec. 12 at 7:13 p.m., there was no emergency on Main Street, despite an alarm sounding there.
Dec. 15 at 7:55 a.m., a small fire on a gas stove had been put out by the time firefighters arrived at the Copley Avenue residence.
Dec. 15 at 3:11 p.m., firefighters extinguished a small fire in a pellet stove on Union Street, cleaned the stove, checked the chimney and left.
Dec. 16 at 9:41 p.m., a call for aid was canceled after firefighters had already left for the Brooklyn Street address.
Dec. 18 at 11:16 a.m., assisted Morristown EMS on Stancliff Road.
Dec. 19 at 5:37 a.m., assisted Morristown EMS on Sunset Drive.
Dec. 19 at 7:34 p.m., what appeared to be a fire at a residence just off Moren Loop was actually just smoke that couldn’t escape up a chimney because the flue was closed. Firefighters opened it, checked everything out and then cleared the scene.
Dec. 22 at 12:04 a.m., firefighters helped removed someone trapped in a vehicle after a crash on Route 100.
Dec. 31 at 3:01 p.m., burned food caused the fire alarm to sound at a Moren Loop residence, but there was no real emergency.
Dec. 31 at 4:10 p.m., a firefighter drove the ambulance for Morristown EMS for a call on Meadow Drive.
