Arraignments, week of May 15
Joshua H. Tallman, 32, of Eden, pleaded not guilty to felony aggravated domestic assault and misdemeanor charges of domestic assault, cruelty to a child and disorderly conduct.
John L. Vetere, 54, of Hyde Park, pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence, third offense.
Jess A. Fitzgerald, 58, of Morrisville, pleaded not guilty to cocaine possession, violating conditions of release and violating an interlock device.
Cases decided, week of May 15
Alicia Grant, 36, of Stowe, pleaded guilty to false pretenses or tokens and was ordered to pay $147 in fines and fees. Two other counts were dismissed at the prosecution’s request.
Benjamin Wells, 38, of Johnson, pleaded guilty to two counts of violating conditions of release and violating probation and was ordered to serve 1-3 months, all suspended with one year of probation. Five additional counts of violating conditions of release were dismissed at the prosecution’s request.
Shane Phillips, 43, of Johnson, was found guilty by a jury of numerous hunting violations — taking big game by illegal means, shooting from a public highway, shooting from a vehicle, taking big game out of season, and possession of a cocked crossbow in a vehicle. Sentencing had not yet been scheduled as of press time.
Larry Roy Bohannon, Jr., 56, of Wolcott, pleaded guilty to violating an abuse prevention order and was ordered to serve one year on probation.
Two counts of retail theft against Danielle M. Ashline, 43, of Johnson, were dismissed at the prosecution’s request.
