Vermont clerk certification

Sara Haskins, the Morristown town clerk and treasurer, has received Vermont clerk certification from the Vermont Municipal Clerks and Treasurers Association.

Certification is an honor given to a Vermont clerk or treasurer for professional development and community service.

To earn this designation, recipients complete a series of mandatory continuing education courses, attend professional workshops, participate in the clerks association, and serve with distinction in their local municipalities.

Haskins was elected Morristown town clerk and treasurer in 2017. She had been assistant town clerk since 2008, and before that had been an accounts receivable clerk for the town and village of Johnson for over three years.

She is also serves the Morrisville village clerk and treasurer, the school treasurer and assistant school clerk for the Lamoille South school district, the Morristown collector of delinquent taxes and as an elected Morristown trustee of public funds.
