The Notch is open

The Agency of Transportation has officially opened Route 108 between Stowe and Cambridge.

A tractor trailer truck is stuck and blocking Route 108 between Stowe and Cambridge, according to the Vermont State Police.

The road was closed from both sides around noon, and will reopen once the truck is removed. There is no current estimate of how long that will take. Motorists should expect delays in the area, or seek alternate routes.

The Agency of Transportation opened the seasonal road through Smugglers Notch between the two mountain towns on Wednesday, May 15.
