We will host our annual chicken pie supper on Saturday, Oct. 7, 5-7 p.m.
The supper will be prepared and served in the Johnson Elementary School on School Street in Johnson. Dine-in or take-out orders are available in the school dining room; cost is $15. You are invited and welcome to come join us for a pleasant evening dinner with friends.
Worship services start at 9:15 a.m. on Sunday morning. We will continue our month-long topic about Earth. The focus will be our spiritual and moral responsibility as people to care for this planet, which is our commonly shared home with all humanity.
On Sunday, Oct. 15, we offer a special ceremonial blessing of the animals. You are welcome to bring a pet dog or cat who can calmly relate to people and other pets who are present. Treats will be available. All animals will be blessed in our ceremony. If you lost a pet during the July flood or experienced loss for other reasons you may bring a photograph of your beloved pet. We will offer a blessing for the joy that pets give us and our sorrow when they are gone.
