As part of this year’s Button Up Vermont campaign, Stowe CAN — the Climate Action Network — will host a free workshop at the Stowe Free Library on Oct. 24 at 6:30 p.m. Homeowners can learn more about staying warm and saving money this winter through weatherization.
During the Step Up to Button Up workshop, an expert from Efficiency Vermont will talk about what weatherization looks like in a home, answer questions about current programs and incentives, and help people get started on a weatherization program. Food and drinks will be provided.
“Button Up Vermont is about saving money, reducing our carbon footprint, and feeling more comfortable in our homes this winter,” said Stowe CAN co-organizer Catherine Crawley. “We are excited to help more of our neighbors get involved and learn more at Step Up to Button Up.”
Stowe is one of more than 50 communities participating in Button Up Vermont this fall. As part of the campaign, residents have access to a limited number of free home energy visits from Efficiency Vermont. During a visit, an energy efficiency professional will demonstrate ways to save money and energy.
Residents will be able to sign up for a visit at the Step Up to Button Up event.
